Unseen Invaders: A Close Look at What Lice Really Look Like
Lice are tiny, wingless parasitic insects feeding on human blood. They are about 2-3 millimeters long, similar to a sesame seed. Lice have elongated, flattened bodies in tan to grayish-white colors, with six legs equipped with claws for gripping hair. Eggs, or nits, are oval, 0.8 millimeters long, and stick to hair near the scalp.
